First, I would like to aplogize everyone (especially Khun Jiranan, hopefully my spelling is correct) about using English instead of Thai (and I know that my English is not quite good, sorry). I'm in US and I don't know how to set Thai font for writing. Anyway, I have read this kratoo since yesterday and I like Khun Jiranan's translation very much, especially those songs, since they are beautiful. Nevertheless, I would like to share my humble opinion through my rough and limited language.
I've read watched the ROTK movie (in fact, all of LOTR movies by Peter Jackson) and I'm reading the books (I'm at about 1/3 of the Two Tower). Although I never watch the Thai subscript, based on what you wrote here, I think Khun Jiranan've done very good job with her limited time and resource. I have to accept that there are some translated statements in this kratoo that don't satisfy me but I also doubt whether there is a way to create such translation that convey the true or full meaning (or feeling) of one lanuage to anothers. To make it concrete, let us consider one simple example,
(KING OF THE DEAD)
But the tie was broken.

It has been remade.
The sentence "it has been remade" could be very difficult to translate (though it also depends on the real actor's voice) and even Khun Jiranan's translation, although it is good, cannot give me the same feeling as the original English statement giving to me. In other words, the sentence "it has been remade" gives me a certain feeling of aggressiveness and confidence (of course, through the actor's voice). This aggreesiveness and confidence is required to reinforce king of the dead's surprise and gain psychological advantage to king of the dead (in order to command him). To be simple, Khun Jiranan's translation may be beautiful but not **cold** enough.
But the truth is that I, myself, don't know how I should translate this sentence.
Anyway, as my New Year gift (hopefully good enough, sweat!), I want to quote parts of LOTR (from the book) that I like. Actually I copied these statements from "The Lord of the Rings and Philosophy" (Chapter 1) and, hopefully, the authors don't mind if I share with you (though it is too late to say ;) ).
(To Galadriel, the Fellowship of the Ring)

And I shall not be dark, but beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night!
