ความเป็นมาของ คำว่า "manga"
In Japan, comics are known more commonly as "Manga." Pronounced "mahngah," the word was coined by the legendary woodblock print artist Hokusai in 1814. In trying to describe the whimsical character of his sketches, he combined the Chinese ideograms "man" ("involuntary," or "in spite of oneself") with "ga" ("picture"). The first character also conveys the meaning of "morally corrupt." However, it was not until the beginning of this century that the term "manga" came into popular usage.
