Dear UBC I wish that I could start this letter in a normal fashion, saying something nice to begin; but I keep finding myself being insulted by your programming and editing. Aside from your terrible mis-spellings (even on your commercials for English schools!!!) and menu listings for programs, you even have misinformation listed. A few nights ago, for example, I was watching a program on Mayan culture, which was listed on the information guide as a program on Xian, China . Even consistency, which should be a virtue, is abused by a constant repeat of wrong spellings of titles of movies over years!!! You charge unnecessarily high fees (on a world standard) for truly sub-standard programming and satellite service. Last night (Sunday) for example, you had listed on Series two programs at prime time in English language and both were in French. Really! Shame on you! How difficult is it to edit properly? I have offered my service for free in the past to do editing but I have received no response. I guess there is too much money going into other pockets for you to care about your work or your image. Your so-called Premier movies are older than most of the people working in your office, What can I say? Shame on you, Popular series like The Simpsons disappear to be replaced by mediocre garbage not even aired in their original countries. I find myself most of the time with absolutely nothing to watch except for re-runs of re-runs most of the time 5 years old. Again, shame on you, Your corruption is showing like the nose of Pinocchio when he is telling a lie. Yes its that obvious!!! I did finally receive a letter of apology (albeit a very insincere one) finally from the Chiang Mai office. Thank you, I shall consider using their pirate cable service instead of renewing my subscription next year or one of the many competitors of UBC. In short, I want to tell you that you have tested my keung chai (เกรงใจ) to beyond human possibility and I do not feel like a valued customer (sic). I feel like UBC subscribers are being unfairly taken advantage of. Its time for you to change the ANNOYING, ANNOYING, ANNOYING noise you think is music during breaks and change the laws so can get advertisers and make money for programs that are worthy of Thai television. Sincerely,
