From what i'd studied, the two main categories of yeast are the baker's yeast (leavening yeast) and the brewer's yeast (non leavening yeast) ka. "The active dry yeast" that can be normally seen in the grocery store is the baker's yeast, using for bread baking production. Brewer's yeast is being used for alcoholic drinks and it comes in both dry and liquid forms. For an unopened yeast, store it in a cool and dry place, it should also be an ideal to keep it away from humidity and heat.
