Dark green thread

Small amount of red for mouth
small amount of black and white for eyes
Small piece of plastic to fit bottom so frog will sit well
Body
Back
Row 1: Beg at top with dark green. Chain 7, sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining ch. Ch 1, turn (6)
Rows 2-3: Work even on 6
Row 4: 2 sc in each sc (12)
Row 5: 2 sc in first and last sc, work center scs even (14)
Row 6: Work even on 14
Rows 7-8: 2 sc in first and last sc, work center scs even (16, 18)
Rows 9-15: Work even on 16
Row 16, 17, 18: Dec 2 on each end, sc in center scs (16, 14, 12, 8)

Sc around piece. Measure and cut piece of plastic and sew this piece to plastic before sewing it to frog body.
NOTE: Piece is "top heavy" and this will make it sit better.
Sew front and back tog and stuff firmly. Sew bottom piece on, stretching back so it will fit around sides.

Eyes
Rnd 1: With black, ch 2, 4 sc in second ch from hook, change to white
Rnds 2-3: Sc in each sc. it will inc to 5 sc. change to dk green

Rows 7-8: At end of rnd, ch 1, turn, sc in 3 sc. Leave tail on end to sew onto head. Stuff lightly. When eyes are sewn on they should be enough to pull them forward.
Mouth
With red, leaving a long tail, ch 10. End ch, leaving another long tail. Sew mouth to front of face, using long sts to upturn sides into a smile.
Legs and Feet (Make 2)
Rnd 1: Starting at top with dark green, chain 10 and hook tog. Sc in each sc. Rnds 2-10: Work even on 10. Stuff lightly
Rnd 11: Dec 3 (7)
Rnd 12: Mark with silver for dec and gold for inc. Sc in 2 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in 2, dec in next sc. (8) The inc forms elbow.
Rnds 13-18: Work even on 8 and stuff lightly.
Row 19-20: Form feet by beginning to work flat in rows. Work thread through and sc across ending up with 3 sc. Row 21: Inc on each side (5)
Row 22: Work even on 5
Form toes: Sl st in first st and chain 5, sl st in 4 ch and in beg st;
sl st in next sc
sl st in next sc and chain 6, sl st in 5 ch and in beg st
sl st in next sc
sl st in last sc and chain 5, sl st in 4 ch and in beg st
cut long tail on thread and end off. With needle, work long thread up into the leg to bury it.
Sew legs to each side of bottom of body
Arms and Hands (Make 2)

Rows 17-18: Form hands by beginning to work flat in rows. Work thread through and sc across ending up with 3 sc. Row 19: Inc on each side (5)

Form fingers: Sl st in first st and chain 4, sl st in 3 ch and in beg st;
sl st in next sc
sl st in next sc and chain 5, sl st in 4 ch and in beg st

cut long tail on thread and end off. With needle, work long thread up into the leg to bury it. Sew arms to sides of body. Top of arm should start at about 3rd row down from where head is sewn on.
