Android Robot
Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

You need a little Android Robot friend sitting on your desk at work, don't you? He will entertain you
when you're having a bad day, and motivate you when you're working hard. Most importantly, all your
co-workers will be extremely jealous when they see this green guy hanging out with you all day.
What you will need:
2 colors of worsted weight yarn
Sizes C/2.5 mm and D/3.0 mm crochet hooks
Yarn Needle
Stuffing

Stitches you will need to know:
*Magic ring
Chain
Slip stitch
Single crochet
Increase
Invisible decrease
Back loop only single crochet

*I use the magic ring method for all pieces worked in the round. Feel free to use the chain 2 method if
you are more comfortable with that.

Body
Using green yarn and D/3.0 mm hook2

1.) 6 sc into magic ring (6)
2.) Inc in each sc around (12)
3.) *sc 1, inc. Repeat from * 6x (18) 4.) *sc 2, inc. Repeat from * 6x (24)
5.) Sc in each st. around (24)
6.) *sc 3, inc. Repeat from * 6x (30)
7.) *sc 4, inc. Repeat from *6x (36)
8.) *sc 5, inc. Repeat from * 6x (42)
Rounds 9-14.) Sc in each st. around (42) (6 rounds of even stitching)
Switch to white yarn
Rounds 15 & 16.) Sc in each st. around (42) (2 rounds of even stitching)
Switch back to green yarn
Rounds 17-31.) Sc in each st. around (42) (15 rounds of even stitching)
32.) Crocheting in back loop only, *sc 5, dec. Repeat from * 6x (36)
Stuff firmly with stuffing of your choice
33.) *Sc 4, dec. Repeat from * 6x (30)
34.) *Sc 3, dec. Repeat from * 6x (24)
35.) *Sc 2, dec. Repeat from * 6x (18)
36.) *Sc 1, dec. Repeat from * 6x (12)
37.) *Sc 2, dec. Repeat from * 3x (9)

Cut yarn, leaving a 6 inch tail. Pull the tail through the last loop on your hook, and pull tightly. Thread
the tail onto your yarn needle and stitch in and out of each of the remaining 9 stitches on the bottom of
your robot. Pull the yarn tight to close the hold. Weave in your tail.

Arms
Using green yarn and D/3.0 mm crochet hook. Make two.

1.) Sc 6 into magic ring (6)
2.) *Sc 1, inc. Repeat from * 3x (9)
Rounds 3-12.) Sc in each st (9) (10 rounds of even stitching)
Leave the arms unstuffed.
Cut yarn, leaving a 6 inch tail. Pull the tail through the last loop on your hook, and pull tightly. Thread
the tail onto your yarn needle and stitch in and out of each of the remaining 9 stitches on the top of the
arm. Pull the yarn tight to close the hold. Weave in your tail.

Legs

Using green yarn and D/3.0 mm crochet hook. Make two.

1.) Chain 9, turn, sc into 2nd chain from hook, sc in each of next 6 chains, sc 2 in last chain. Begin
working on the other side of chains, sc in each of next 7 chains, sc 2 in last chain. (18)
Rounds 2-6.) Sc in each st. around (18) (5 rounds of even stitching)
Cut yarn, leaving a 9 inch tail. Pull the tail through the last loop on your hook, and pull tightly.
After crocheting both legs, use one of the yarn tails to sew the legs together on one side. Stuff both
legs. The other tail will be used to sew both legs onto the bottom of your robot.

Antennae
Using green yarn and D/3.0 mm crochet hook. Make two.

1.) Sc 6 into magic ring (6)
Rounds 2-5.) Sc into each st around (6) (4 rounds of even stitching)
Leave the antennae unstuffed
Cut the yarn, leaving a 6 inch tail. Pull the tail through the last loop on your hook, and pull tightly.
Using the remaining yarn tails, sew both of these onto the head after crocheting.

Arm “Attachers”
Using white yarn and C/2.5 mm crochet hook. Make two.

1.) Sc 6 into magic ring (6)
2.) Sc in each st. around (6)
Leave the attachers unstuffed
Cut the yarn, leaving a 5 inch tail. Pull the tail through the last loop on your hook, and pull tightly. Using
the yarn tails, sew the attachers just below the white rounds on the sides of your robot. Next, sew the
arms to the attachers with a bit of scrap green yarn.

Eyes
Using white yarn and C/2.5 mm crochet hook. Make two.

1.) Sc 6 into magic ring (6)
2.) *Sc 1, inc. Repeat from * 3x (9)
Cut the yarn, leaving a 5 inch tail. Pull the tail through the last loop on your hook, and pull tightly. Using the remaining yarn tails, sew the eyes into place on the front of your robot.
