    Renewing Green Card Experience

    Anyboby know how long does it take to renew the green card? My 10 year green card will be expired in October. I want to do it now even it is not within 6 months from the expiration date which is April. I call the immigration officer couple times but some told me that I can't do it now. I have to wait. Some said you can do it. I don't know who should I believe. If anybody has an experience, please help. I would like to go back to Thailand this Summer right after school closes.
