ผมอ่านเจอในหนังสือ Practical English Usage ของ Oxford ในหัวข้อ Comparison น่ะครับ เค้าพูดถึงเรื่องการใช้ all/any/none the + comparative ซึ่งจะมีความหมายเป็น by that much ผมดูตัวอย่างประโยคแล้วก็ไม่ค่อยเข้าใจเท่าไหร่
เช่น Sunday mornings were nice. I enjoyed them all the more because Sue used to come round to breakfast.
He didn't seem to be any the worse for his exam.
ลองหาคำว่า "By that much" จาก Google ก็เห็นมีเขียนประมาณว่า Missed it by that much อยู่เยอะพอสมควรเลย ...
อยากรู้ว่าจากรูปประโยคในหนังสือ grammar ข้างต้น กับประโยคข้างหลังมันหมายถึงอะไรหรอครับ แล้วถ้ายิ่งแปลประโยคที่ยกตัวอย่างมา จะยิ่งดีมากๆเลย ... ขอบคุณล่วงหน้าครับ ^-^
