i feel for you. i like to read almost anything except textbooks, academic papers, and research articles. i cannot think of a word, but textbooks, research articles, etc. are way beyond dull.
i think academics love pretentious language. they like to use big words. they like gobbledygook. i don't understand why they need to use big words when simpler words can be used just as effective or even more effective and are much easier for readers as myself to understand. perhaps using pompous language is the sign of being "highly educated". but if they want to educate people, why can't they just write in plain english so that people can read just once and get it?... instead, they make me bored. i'll tell you textbooks are the most effective and the most reliable anti-insomnia known to man. ;)
sorry for my gibberish...i am no help, aren't i?... i'm taking one class which i should not and i'm tired of studying...
