I totally don't agree with most of the comments up there.
I personally believed so before I got my greencard and came to live in the states. However, after I started working for Bed, Bath and Beyond as a sales associate/customer service and as a waiter at a Thai restaurant, my experience tells me otherwise. I had been in the US as an international student for almost 4 years. Studied and worked legally during that time, I still believed that Americans treat others more repectfully regardless of what he/she does for living. Until I became a greencard holder and went out there for a real American life. Then, it hits me. It hits me HARD.
I just wanna share my personal real experience with my fellow Thais. So, you can reconsider. Look at things more thoroughly without any bias. Americans are really similar to Thais on this matter. They totally are not better than us.
By all means, there is no place like home.
Cheers,
