Just a short note as I have to start working soon.
I am not looking for a "job" or just any jobs that I can fill in. Rather, I am looking to find a way to get my foot in the door - to do what I want to.
I am very selective in sending my applications to prospective employers. In posting this kratoo, I only wanted to know what techniques you personally used to get your foot in the door (which you have answered, thank you).
Not many people really know what they want in life, let alone what they want to do careerwise. I have been constantly evaluating myself along the way these past few years, and know roughly what I want to do, what not. But not until I really do it, I can say for sure that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life You're lucky that you have found yourself much earlier.
I have read the book you mentioned about, but have not been able to put it in practice very well. I have no excuse for that.
For now, I don't have luxury to take time off work to do the job serach full-time as you did in the past. However, I'll try my best and hope I find the job I want eventually.
Ok, it's time to get back to work now. Thanks again for your two cents.
