I agree with K.SFbay and K.BMW that they are harming this country's society in many ways. On the surface, the most damaging affect is that employers hire illegal immigrants at lower pay, deny them legally required benefits, make them work in unlawful, oftentimes dangerous conditions, and house them in substandard housing. The wages, however low, they receive here exceed what they could make at their "home" so they are able to send the majority back to their families. These transfered funds make up a substantial portion of the economies of the countries where these funds are received. (These reasons are, in part, why there is little effort on the part of their home countries-such as Mexico etc. to stop the illegal emigration of their citizens)
