If you're still a citizen of Thailand, you still needs to apply for a visa to Germany na ka. I also have a US greencard and had to get a visa for Germany business trip.

I don't know where you are in USA, but for me I went to the consular office in Atlanta myself. The process is very fast and always take only a week.
Please note that for a visa fee, you need to pay in cash,prepared in the exact amount na ka - they won't have any change. (At least this is what Consular office in Atlanta requires - I still don't understand why)
And for health insurance, it's safest to use Travelex ka. This is what the consular office recommended. Otherwise, they might not approve your visa.
