Do you paln to get pregnant??? If you do plan, I would recommend you to bu insurance in advance..usually is not that expensive.
If you pregnant without insurace. Hospital can't refuse to delivery your baby, but you still have to pay if you don't have insuracne They sent you the bill later, if you don't pay..they sent to debt collector ka. If they can't pay the whole amount, most people will call hospital and ask to pay it monthly instead.
Without any insurance, there are some option (usualy for perm. resident or citizen) ka:
In California:
1) AIM - Aid to Infants and Mothers Enrollment Information: 916-324-4695 / 800-433-2611 Eligibility info: Northern CA 1-800-300-1031 Southern CA 858-492-4422
2) Baby CAL 1800-222-9999

- Check with WIC to see if you qualify. WIC is effective in improving the health of pregnant women, new mothers, and their infants.
- Check with University Hospital or county hospital near you. Sign up immediately, and begin paying for the pregnancy in advance. (usually cheaper than private hospital because it's teaching hospital) and check the doctors and the clinics in your area to see about alternatives.
- If you are a self-employed individual you may claim a special deduction for health insurance on your form 1040 of 45% of amounts you pay during the taxable year. You may be able to use this as a means of proving to relatives or doctors that you can pay back their loan.
