good or bad hard to tell but before you come here you should
writh down every agreement you make with the family such as
1 can you drive, how pay for gas ( better host or 50:50 the gas is very expensive)
2 when is your time off, do you have to work on the weekend,
if the baby is napping make sure that the family count it as you working hour
3 make sure that you cleaning job is only if it invole with kids
4 don't offer to walk the dog coz you have to pick up dog's poop
and if it's in the winter......you'll be freezing to death.
when you are with family
1 don't offer to do things that is not your job
2 don't be shine to ask for your pay check if your
host forget to pay
3 if you pay for kids snack or other that you don't have too,
get you money back, my friend pay for after school snack she thought it's so little to ask from host but it's everyday
so she asked her hostmom and she got her money back.
4 if thing is not quite right, be open talk to them
if it's not getting any better talk to your counsellor.
Normally counsellor doesn't help much but call them anyway.
5 if you feel that you can't take it anymore don't be afraid to Rematch. You much call you counsellor everyday to ask
if you get a new family yet. I mean everyday if you don't you will less likely to get a new family.
6 if you don't get new family on time, do't give up.
Your visa is 1 year. You can fine your new family online
from other au pair webside and you might gey pay more
about $ 300-400 coz the family doesn't pay for the agency.
don't for get your visa is 1 year, you can stay as long as
your visa is still valid. i didn't mean i support robinhood club
but i'm not rich and i understand how hard it take to come to the us. i don't want to see thai girl spend all time and money to be here and was sent back coz she couldn't get a new family within 2 weeks it's a heart broken story.
