As I could recall you are in pharmaceutics, right?
Since I am not in this particular area, I could not give you a specific answer. However I am in pharmacokinetic modeling field, in this area, there are very few schools offering PhD in this particular area. Ironically, graduates in this area are highly required in pharmaceutical companies. Thus, all of my lab mates got into pharmaceutical companies directly after their graduation without postdoctoral training (in other areas, most of the cases, they have to earn 1 or 2 post-doctoral trainings before getting into pharmaceutical companies).
As far as I know, my friends earn around 100K/year plus benefits. But ,among PhD graduates in pharmaceutics, I don't know. It might depend on some other factors, but it should be close to 80-100K/year. Please keep in mind that this "guess" is for a new PhD graduate in math modeling, not in other specialty nor for an MS graduate.
Grossly, after tax, from that 100K income, they should earn around 70-80K. So you may use this number to calculate how much you would earn more compared to your current income in Thailand. Anyway please keep in mind that cost of living in the US, particularly in big cities like Chicago, is much higher than it is in Thailand.
