"เคยรู้สึกไหมว่า อยู่ไกลบ้าน ต่างชาติ แล้ว รู้อะไรมากกว่า????? อยู่ที่ประเทศไทย"
I strongly agree with your statement. For me, since moving to the US, I have made friends with people from different backgrounds and I have to say that I have learned so much from them. It is not the question of whether they are smarter, but rather it is about what each person has to offer. I feel that my interactions with people that have different beliefs, cultures and ways of thinking have really broadened my vision. Had I stayed in Thailand and gone through 4 years of undergrad education with people who would've been similar to me, I would have had a much narrower view of the world and non-Thai people in general. Furthermore, being away has also taught me to be responsible for my own life. There is no mommie or daddie to rely on. I have learned to handle my finaces, schools and work by myself. I think I have grown a lot from being away from Thailand (the comfort zone).
In retrospect, I am glad to have come over to the US.
PS: My post is by no means a praise to the US. I am not in anyway implying that the US is better (or worse) than Thailand.
