Guys... I'm very sorry haven't got time to read through this kratoo again after I've posted it...been very busy and my comp is at work this week so I'm using my girlfriend's laptop (which drives me nuts as it's got french keyboard with such a weird position of all letters -__-')
I'll post more in Thai over the weekend :)
To Khun Pinky_dada You were right with the comment of ดาไลลามะไม่ใช่แค่ หัวหน้าในระบบศาสนาอย่างเดียว แต่เป็นหัวหน้าในระบบการปกครองด้วย
As most of us probably know that it is a culture for Tibetans over the century that most of their men populations will become a monk when they are to age, some will work as a farmer, married and became a monk after they had kids.
Most of them live as a monk for the rest of their lives while female populations are working as a farmers and house wives.
It is in their culture that strongly attached to the Buddhism believes and therefore, other Tibetans who aren't a monk are expected to be working to deliver food and other living supplies to Tibetans monks. As we are Thai, I guess we can see the picture of how society would react to you if your duty is to serve the lord (Monks) and you've failed to do so.
All you need to do is imagine yourself in a small village of Thailand and people expecting you to deliver food to the monks one day. What will happen if you didn't get it done? Your society would call you a sinner for not completing your task, got angry with you and probably beat you up for let those monks stave. But was it the monk who told them to hit you???
I don't think it's fair to say that it was the monks or the Dalai Lama's fault when his people kill each other. I feel that it's a conflict of interest where the power of people's believes led them to kill each other for those who were wrong doing to the Dalai Lama.
The Dalai Lama has ALWAYS been fighting for freedom in a peaceful way, but I don't think he can stop his people from getting angry at the Chinese government and start the violence.....and certainly not after living under pressure like that for more than 60 years. Some of you may agree with me here 'cos I really don't' think EVERY male Tibetans wants to be a monk only because of their historicity believe in Buddhism anymore, especially not after having been suffering from those seperation between children and parents, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives.
As per your comment
Your comment was clear that you (and a lot of others) are the victim of Chinese Media which now working so desperately to FRAME Tibetans monks as a violence bunch of uncivilised sivilliance. Please allow me to say that this is not a criticism and I understand why you and a lot others would believe that it was Tibetans who started the violence in the first place.
As I said, the Chinese government is now working so hard to keep situation within Tibet as quiet as possible hence foreign media banned from Tibet, and lots of footages of current situation are banned on website like YouTube. In the past week, as foreign media are banned, there's a lot of footages posted on Youtube which would not allow you to view them unless you are viewing from China. All other IP are banned, I was trying to view some of those videos from my office this week by hiding the IP address but found that 7 of the videos I've tried to view on Sunday the 16th March has been deleted by YouTube. (I guess it's the same reason as the footage about King Bhumipol that has been banned by YouTube as it was too sensitive to the Thais)
The only videos you can see on YouTube now are those that has been amended to make Tibetans looks like violence scum.
Tibetans have tried to fight in a peaceful way for a VERY LONG time, quiet protest, hunger strikes....and they're ended up killed so I think it's time for them to start fighting back. :)
I'm not even a Buddhist but I will help them fight for the sake of Human Rights!!
To all others, feel free to join me for "March for Tibet" this Saturday 22nd March 08 Time: 12:00am - 2:00pm Location: Assembly 11:30 am at Park Crescent (west side - up towards regents park) to Trafalgar Square Street: nearest tube - Great Portland St City : London
