hello, you can do that for sure ka. I've 3 friends who changed status to F1 in US. Now, all of them is holding a student visa already. What you have to do is you've to find a school who will be able to process change of visa status for you...not a university, not a very good school....just the regular school. My friends didn't need lawyer or anything, just give school the documents and money. The student adviser take care of everything for them. In the other hand, the bad things about changing visa in US. is if u go back to Thailand and you wanna come back here, you need to ask for a new visa and it might be difficult because you've changed visa while you're in US. they might think that you wanna stay in US. or they might think that you intend to go to US. with wrong visa type [ travel and change to student ] Anyway, in my experience of helping my friend change visa. It's not difficult at all. It's up to you to make decision naka. This is the example school located in Illinois who can change visa for you. http://international.solex.edu/Default.aspx?tabid=67
