Well said all the above comments krub.
Bangkok is a huge city, a megalopolis that everyone is in a big rush. We all know how the traffic in Bangkok is and I'm sure a courteous driver from the western countries as I quote from K SMG "เพราะกฏหมายมีความศักดิ์สิทธิต่างกัน อีกทั้งจิตสำนึกต่อผู้อื่นทั้งในส่วนของผู้ใช้ และ ผู้ปฏิบัติ ต่างกันค่ะ" will eventually act the same way as everyone else in Bangkok.
Where I live is different, it's a small city or a big town for that matter and the pace is so much different. Holy molly can't you walk faster kind of thought sometime pop up in my head as I had to stop my car for the pedestrians who cross the stree so leisurely and often times seemed like they stroll in the park on a fine spring day. Duh... there are no flowers to be seen on the middle of the street and sometime I feel like getting out of the car to kick their slow butts and if I had a magical wand I would have had sent them to the middle of Bangkok to teach them lessons.
Anyway courtesy is the rule that everyone should strive for no matter where one drives or at the very least try to be.
