Dear K'Dorotee,
I'm kinda interested in the JSPS program you recommended. Actually, I once found this program through the NIS or NSF website, but I thought they required the citizenship or PR, so I gave up. I havent realized that there is another channel that we can go through. So, thank you very much for open up my eyes.
Anyway, after browse through that link, I still have couple of questions.
To apply for the JSPS, we need to contact the host researcher directly. Am I correct?
Politically, if your advisor (or you) have some contacts in your area over there, then this could be much easier. Otherwise, you go blind shot.
Finally, the most important one, in the case we go blind shot (which is my case I presume), what topic are we working on? I mean are we working on our proposed research under their supervised or we working on their research as an employee.
Thank you in advance for answer my questions.
To response this kratoo, SG, JP, HK are my targets.
