My husband does not know much about Thai ( Only Krab, Ka, Sawadee). It would be nice if he could speak and understand simple sentences that are useful for him while he visits Thailand. Then, he would be able to communicate with my family.
Sometimes, he asks me to translate Thai into English when I speak to our son. But, he does not remember anyway.
If I have to teach him in Thai, I think that is impossible. I do not have patient in teaching. We are more likely to get into an agrument if we have to teach each other.
So far, I don't have much expectation from him to be able to speak or understand Thai. May be in the future.
