At first I was hesitate to write about this.
Now, I think I should share my story with many of you.
When I was an Au-pair in Germany, I first met two Thai women, married to German. They always invited me to have some delicious Thai food with them. They helped me a lot when I was there. I could not estimate it.
Another time in Germany, I accidently met Thai woman with two thai daughters in the subdivision I lived. They cooked the most wonderful, traditional Isaan food for me. I eat like a pig.
I happened to be in Sweden. I met one Thai woman when I went to Swedish consul to renew my visa. She gave me a ride home. ( I never forget her kindness.)
I met Thai guy who was an English teacher in Sweden. He was very nice and had a good sense of humor. He always made my days.
I met another Thai woman, teaching English, when I was in California. I was in her class once. She told me that I could do better. Not that I am good, but because of that encouragement I always want to do it bette. I am very proud of her.
Now, I live in a different state. I know a few Thai people, young and old. I feel that I have a small thai community here. They visited me and brough Thai food to me when I was in the hospital. I always appriciate that.
I've seen many nice Thai people from many places. I feel that I am very lucky.
