Believe it or not I started at B9500/mo for newly grad back then. I'm not sure if I can fairly say B15000 for now?
Anyway if you are talking about US then it can be a little different as cost of living in different area could be different, thus salary.
If the job is in the silicon valley then you are expected to be compensated more. In my area, silicon hill, it is different. The wage is comparably lower.
I don't know if it's fair to say $45 to $58 K per year for newbie programmer.. that's my best bet.
