Let me help khun gengen giving you the info na kha.
You can find QB house hair salon in many parts of Japan. http://www.qbhouse.co.jp/search/index.html
Basically, you buy 1000 yen coupon from the ticket vending machine and wait for a hairdresser. I`m not sure whether or not we can request the hairdresser, but I guess we can`t kha. Normally, trying to minimize time consumption as much as possible, they spend about 10 mins on a customer. I had tried it once or twice. They spent 30 mins or more on cutting my long hair kha. :P
Allow me to recommend another down to earth hair salon na kha. It`s 11 cut kha.
It`s a little bit more expensive than the above one, still it shouldn`t be regarded as an EXPENSIVE hair salon at all. http://www.11cut.com/menu/index.html
I personally never try it myself, but some friends did kha. The atmosphere is far better than QB house`s. A friend is the regular customer here. She even has her favorite hair stylist kha.
Well, quality does come at a price, so we shouldn`t put high expectation on the hair stylists` skill kha. I recommend you to carry along the picture or the magazine that displays hair styles you love and show it to the hairdresser kha.
Hope you find this information helpful na kha.
