But one needs to buy credit first to be able to make free calls. Then when you want to buy credit, you will have to give out your mobile phone number in order to receive verification code by text message (SMS). This is a bit risky because last time I did that (whether I did or not I had no idea) my mobile phone started to send out automatic SMS to somewhere and I got charged 23 euro cent each SMS sent out. It'd been like that for at least 2 years without me knowing anything about it until a few months ago I checked my phone bills and found out that I spent 100s of Euros for SMS I did not even send out.

Can I forward my calls to other SmartVoip users?
Yes you can - the callforwarding option in the client works with phone numbers, but you can also enter a (SmartVoip) user name.
How long does my credit last for calls?
The credit you have purchased will NOT expire.
How much will I be charged for my calls?
Calls will be charged at the applicable tariff for the destination you are calling. Rates are in Eurocents per minute and calls are rounded up to next minute. Apart from that there are no other charges; no subscription, registration, or administration fees! If you make a phone-to-phone call you will be charged a 5 eurocent starting fee.
