This post reminded me of many choices my friend made when we graduated. I believed you have been working very hard to build up your knowledge so.....congratulations na ka.
My question for you would be..... " What do you really want and how bad do you want it?" For bonding, you need to carefully think about the bonding in your scholarship na ka. 12 years is a very long time.....by the time you are done with the bonding, you likely will be reaching your 40s and the chance to be in the international organization like UN is almost impossible.
I had many friends making both choices, for those taking scholarship is still studying and some just graduated with a top degree from the US (Harvard, MIT, Columbia...etc.) and returning home to serve the bond for the next 10 years.....You must really enjoy teaching and love it to be able to survive the system of Thai university.
Personally, I'm supporting the decision to work for the UN. You are young with an excellent academic record, you can join the other open scholarships from any organizations in Thailand. Once you join the UN, you will be able to broaden your horizon across cultures, gain grater experience and within 2 years. International or Quasi government body usually have a very good family package, stable career with potential for relocation and if you get a chance to be their full time employee at the first year.....believe me...this is very rare....
Also, if you have a will to teach others, you can always teach people by leading a good example from what you do and when you have good profile......I think many universities now is open for a guest lecturer.
Think carefully, imagine you are at your 40 and looking back at the choice you is making today and follow what you believe is the most suitable... Follow your intuition and no regrets.....
Good luck ka...
