Hope you don't mind that I type in English na ka because this computer doesn't have Thai fonts.
OK...I finally got your point ka khun เศษไม้ใบหญ้า. So, in your opinion it is alright to accept money, gift or whatever from the husband after the legal marriage takes place, but if the woman hasn't married to the man (especially) farang yet then it would be inappropriate to ask or beg for anything. I totally agree with you ka that we shouldn't marry someone only because of their wealth and without love.
I don't personally know you, so I never judge you for who you are based on what you write here ka. The reason I'm here talking to you just to exchange the idea--the same thing you do to the others on this webboard. I don't agree with you on this thing but it doesn't mean that I have to dislike you and judge you as a bad person.
As a ciber friend, I admire that you are not greedy and never have the idea of taking advantage of your husband who truly loves you. :-) If you don't mind me offering a little bit advice I would love to tell you that don't take thing too personal and don't be worried too much about how the others are going to think about Thai women. Some thai women may marry a guy for money, so let them be ka--it's their life. Don't worry that their actions will make you, who also a Thai woman, become a bad girl in the other's eye like them.
For several years of being with my farang husband, I too ran to several people who thought of me as a gold digger and marrying my husband because of his money (actually he's very poor ka :-) ) But, I never let it bother me because I know who I am and why I choose him. I do know a couple of Thai women here that married the American guys just to get the greencard. Of course I don't like what they did, but that's not my business and I really don't care either if that's gonna make the other farangs here think of me the same way.
Best wishes na ka....
