เขียนจดหมายไป ที่ ACLU แล้วยัง
Thanks for calling us about your brother XXXX. As we briefly discussed, Lambda Legal is a national organization committed to achieving the full civil rights of gay men, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people, and people living with HIV/AIDS through impact litigation, education, and public policy work. We aren’t a direct client-services legal organization (like Legal Aid) and can only take very few cases that fit our mission and are impact litigation opportunities.
You state your brother does not want to get his job back at them XXX but is worried that his J-1 visa will be terminated and he will be subject to deportation back to Thailand because he was ternminated from his employment. I suggested you talk with a local SC lawyer on his behalf to get legal advice regarding his options. As I explained in our phone conversation, although Lambda Legal is not a referral service, we do have a Cooperating Attorney Network consisting of lawyers who have responded to our call for LGBT-friendly, non-HIV-phobic lawyers interested in cases that present issues of sexual orientation, gender-identity, or HIV discrimination. The attorneys in this Cooperating Attorneys Network self report to us their areas of expertise, and Lambda Legal does not screen them. Unfortunately we currently have no lawyers in our network with immigration law experience. XXX, who we talked about, is now with the ACLU and may be able to assist your brother:

It may be useful to make whoever you speak with aware that you got their name by calling the Lambda Legal Help Desk. This contact information was accurate at the time each attorney registered with our network, but we can’t guarantee it’s remained accurate or up-to-date. If Ms. Dunn can’t take your case, she might know other attorneys in your area who also practice in the area you are looking for.
We cannot recommend any attorney and encourage you to utilize our document "Some Suggested Questions to Ask a Prospective Attorney" that I have also attached as a base interview for any attorney that you contact. I suggest that you tailor the questions to your situation and needs.
Additionally, here are two coastal pro-bono legal services organizations that you might consider. I am not sure if they can handle an immigration matter, so you will have to call for that basic information: Low County AIDS Services Legal Clinic 207 E. Bay St. Charleston, SC 29402 (803) 577-2437
Neighborhood Legal Assistance Program 438 King St. Charleston, SC 29403-6230 (803) 722-0107
I wish for the best outcome in this matter,
Warm Regards, Lorraine
