As long as the child was born abroad and had used foreign passport to enter and exit Thailand before having the Thai passport, the result remains the same as of any other children with the passport (without Thai ID number) issued abroad.
It stands to logic really, any immigration officer will understand this, since the child was born abroad and first entered Thailand on a foreign passport so as to complete the journey the same passport must be used.
It's irrelevant, in this case, where the Thai passport was obtained.
When asked by an immigration officer, you just have to say that you got the passport done for your child on your last visit and would like your child to use Thai passport to enter the country for the first time. That is it.
The difference is only the ID number, which normally be given when the child's name is on the house registration in Thailand.
Think about it clearly and you will agree with me.
You shouldn't worry about that.
