Thailand Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (TAIST Tokyo Tech ICTES Program)

1. วิศวกรรมยานยนต์ (Automotive Engineering : AE) 2. เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสารเพื่อระบบสมองกลฝังตัว (Information and Communication Technology for Embedded Systems : ICTES) 3. วิศวกรรมสิ่งแวดล้อมขั้นสูงเพื่อความยั่งยืน (Advanced and Sustainable Environmental Engineering : EnvE.)

Eligibility of Applicants:
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree of either Engineering or Science in an appropriate discipline (Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgical, Control, Electronic, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Materials, Geology, Environmental, Industrial, Agro-Industrial, Forestry, Production Forestry, Computer etc.) or to be awarded the Bachelor's degree before starting the Master's degree program. Applicants must have the grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 or 2 years experience in relevant research and work as specified by the Executive Committee.
Characteristics:
All students will receive scholarships for studying this program for two years. NSTDA will award scholarships to all TAIST Tokyo Tech students for the first year of their study. The students who work with NSTDA researchers will receive a scholarship for the second year for the second year of their study. A number of professors from Tokyo Tech will come and give lectures to the students and also advise the students in the second year of study. All lectures are conducted in English. The students do their research work at four national research institutes; NECTEC, MTEC, BIOTEC, and NANOTEC (NSTDA). The students will be registered at a host universities (SIIT or KU), and the same time at TAIST Tokyo Tech. Thai professors are co-lecturers and advisors of the students. The lectures are conducted at National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Thailand Science Park (TSP), where the TAIST Tokyo Tech office is located. TAIST Tokyo Tech accepts students not only from Thailand or Asian countries but also from all over the world. Full-time students as well as part-time students from the industry, both of which will greatly benefit from the unique learning environment which this program is designed to provide. After graduation to further pursue a doctoral study at Thai universities or at Tokyo Institute of Technology or other Japanese universities.
