i believe knowing chinese should be useful when working in either thailand or abroad provided that chinese people are living all around the world. but if being asked what language i want to study, i would add french and italian into the list. anyway, being able to speak and read the third language fluently should be far more helpful than knowing only a bit of 5 languages.
