My son, who is in his freshmen year in the State University, often has a conflict with his English teacher about different ideas in writing. For the arguments they had, I thought he will be dead, but he got an A- for the topic he chose, which surprised me. I was thinking that he may get an F.
Another time is the conversation discussed in class. The teacher has said someting that bothered my son's feeling, so he e-mailed her, told her what she said was wrong.
I told him what he did may make him stand out and it might not be good for his grade that will come from her in the future.
He said he knew what he did was right and she should be sorry for what she said.
Few days after he sent the e-mail. The letter came from her to apologize. She said she'd never thought of what he'd mentioned and thanks him for opening her eyes.
I think American ways of thinking is more open than Thais. They don't framed you.
When you don't think the way the teacher think, that doesn't mean you were wrong.
Perhaps, you may be very, very right.
