ความคิดเห็นที่ 5 depends on the university, the field, and your profile ka... but a LOOOOOOOOOT of universities not only let you study tuition-free, they might even pay you to be TA or RA... or sometimes they pay stipend which doesn't even require you to work. usually, I feel that science people get most money (because a lot of schools get grants for science researches)... and then engineering and business school also give a lot of money......... As for the rest (other social sciences, humanities, etc.), it might be a little less ka. good luck na ka. =) PS. ความคิดเห็นที่ 6 I come to second khun adz's comment. The scholarship varies from universities to departments or even to each individual within the same department. The best way is to research beforehand by asking people who go to the program (maybe a little hard if you don't know anyone studying there) or reading from discussion board (USNEWS, Princeton review, Test magic) people there can be a good source for accurate info as the statistic does not change much from year to year. Generally speaking, as khun adz said science/engineering students likely receive the best scholarship while business school students receive the best for non-science. Since you are in computer,it should not be too hard to grab a good money out there. I am in social science and receive full tuition + quite good stipend with no string attached (no TA,RA requirement) for 4 years. ความคิดเห็นที่ 8 ลองเช็คทางเว็ปไซต์ของทางภาควิชาที่จะลองไปสมัครดูครับ เกี่ยวกับ financial support หรือ funding ให้มากให้น้อยต่างกันไปตามความใหญ่ของภาควิชา และมหาลัย เท่าที่ให้ส่วนมากเป็นในรูป TA (teaching assistant) หรือ RA (Research assistant) ความรับผิดชอบก็ต่างไปตามมหาลัยและภาควิชาด้วย เช่น ทีเอ ในภาคภาษาอังกฤษจะไม่ใช่ผู้ช่วยสอน แต่จะเป็นอาจารย์สอนเดี่ยวๆเลย ส่วนใหญ่ทุนพวกนี้เค้าให้อยู่แล้วถ้าเรียนปริญญาเอก ตอนผมสมัครก็กรอกใบขอเป็นทีเอไปด้วยและก็ได้เป็นตั้งแต่เทอมแรกที่เข้าเรียนปริญญาเอกก็ได้เป็นทีเอ สอนวิชาการเขียนภาษาอังกฤษเบื้องต้น แต่ก่อนเปิดเรียนต้องมาอบรมประมาณหนึ่งอาทิตย์ ต้องสอบพูด speaking test ผ่านก่อนด้วย ทุนที่ผมได้การันตีสี่ปี จนจบปริญญาเอก เนื่องจากภาควิชาภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาคที่ใหญ่มากๆ จึงมีพวกทีเอเยอะ (ประมาณหกสิบคน) เพราะต้องบริการสอน composition ให้กับคนทั่วมหาลัย เงินเดือนก็พออยู่ได้ (ขอที่บ้านบ้าง) แต่เกือบไม่ต้องจ่ายค่าเรียนแล้วก็ได้พวกประกันสุขภาพเกือบฟรี และก็ไม่มีข้อผูกมัดด้วยครับ ลองเช็คทางเวปไซตก่อนสมัครนะครับ จากคุณ : krisuw - [ 5 เม.ย. 48 03:52:50 A:172.195.197.34 X: TicketID:031781 ]
