Ans: ประโยคนี้จะลดรูปโดยตัด that ทิ้งไปเฉยๆไม่ได้ xxxx "There was a good man ( ) did a good thing." xxxxxx -แล้วมีประโยคแบบไหนบ้าง ที่ไม่สามารถตัด that ที่อยู่ในประโยคทิ้งไปได้? Ans: ประโยคที่ that ทำหน้าที่เป็น relative pronoun และ that ทำหน้าที่เป็นประธานของประโยคขยาย (ประโยครอง) เราลดรูปเขาไม่ได้ครับ เช่น He is the man that hates me. that ทำหน้าที่เป็นประธานในประโยคขยาย that hates meคือ the man hates me นั่นเอง อย่างนี้ เราไม่สามารถลดรูปได้ => He is the man hates me. ไม่ได้ครับ ส่วน... ความคิดเห็นที่ 4 เรื่องการลดรูป that ที่คุณถามนี้นะ มีคนถามเราตั้งแต่สมัยยังไม่มี Internet แน่ะ  เรารู้ด้วยตัวเองว่าเมื่อไหร่จะลดรูปได้เมื่อไหร่จะลดรูปไม่ได้ โดยอาศัยฟังฝรั่งพูดนานๆ แล้วอ่านหนังสือผ่านๆมา จนมันซึมเข้าไป แต่ให้อธิบาย เราก็อธิบายไม่ถูก  คือจริงๆแล้วเราก็มีตำรา grammar อยู่มากมาย  แต่เราไม่เคยเปิดมันอ่าน เราก็หาไม่เจอว่าเรื่องนี้มันอยู่ในตำราเล่มไหน และอยู่ที่หน้าไหน   เมื่อมาเจอคำถามคุณอีก เราก็ด้วยความอยากรู้ จึง google คำว่า omitting that แล้วเราไปโผล่ที่หน้าเว็บนี้ของ bbc เข้าให้   http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/grammar/learnit/learnitv336.shtml ก็เลยไปเจอข้อความที่ผู้เชี่ยวชาญฝรั่งเขาอธิบายเอาไว้  โดยการตอบคำถามของคนที่ชื่อ  Saulo จาก Brazil ที่เขียนมาถาม เราก็เลยอยากรู้เหตุผล ก็เลยลองแปล มาให้อ่านกัน  แต่ไม่ได้แปลตรงๆตัวนะ แค่อ่านจับใจความ แล้วปรับเปลี่ยนรูปประโยคภาษาไทยหน่อย ๆ  คือแปลไว้เมื่อคืนตอนง่วงๆ  เพิ่งเอามา post เนี่ย ถ้าใครเห็นข้อผิดพลาด  เช่นเมาแล้วแปลผิด ก็ช่วยทักท้วงด้วยนะ เอ้าลองอ่านดูนะ ***************************************************************************** Learn It   omitting 'that' Saulo Teles from Brazil writes:   In the sentence: Today we learned that the university is going to close the math department it is necessary to include that, but in the sentence The work I do is very important it is not included.
