I look at an essay as a complicated finished product comprised of parts and subparts. It requires a lot in order for anyone (of course especially me) to put those parts and subparts in their proper places and come up with one good essay. Anyhow..about words... You can use any words you find in a dictionary to write an essay. Many words have the same or similar meaning and can be used interchangeably. Some words are more appropriate than others in a sentence. Choosing proper words to use is not an easy task even for a native speaker. Let me give you an example (which may be irrelevant but I want to give you an example anyway so here we go) I just read a story about Benjamin Franklin, so how about a sentence from the Declaration of Independence (written by one of the best writers, Thomas Jefferson and edited by several), "We hold these truths to be sacred and undeniable", written Jefferson. A beautiful sentence? Yes, but wait. Franklin crossed out the words 'sacred and undeniable' and replaced them with 'self-evident' and there you got it! "We hold these truths to be self-evident". I think that's, cannot think of a better word, that was deep. Sacred and undeniable are subjective but self-evident is objective. To write a better essay, you need more familiarity with English and practices, a lot of practices. Producing a good essay, you need to go through several draftings and editings. Any essay of mine, specially, needs to go through several bloodbath massacres and receive several units of blood transfusions..555.. Many proofreaders love to use red ink. Usually the first draft will be damped with red inks. It looks like it's experiencing a major life threatening hemorrhage.. so embarrassing.. hey! I have only limited vocabularies, and my grammar is rubbish hoohoo :) For you, I have nothing much to say but I'd rather say just remember keep reading and practicing. Practice Makes Perfect. ความคิดเห็นที่ 5 อ่านลูกเดียวครับ เพราะว่าถ้าเรายังติดกับการแปล (ไทยเป็นอังกฤษ) ปัญหานี้ก็จะเกิดเรื่อยๆ ครับ เช่น ปิด แปลเป็นภาษาอังกฤษได้ว่า turn off close ใช้คำไหนดีเวลาพูดถึง ปิดคอม ใช้คำไหนดีเวลาพูดถึง ปิดหน้าต่าง หรือว่า เวลาเจอประโยคนี้ Transitional phrases help the reader navigate the essay. อ้าว navigate มันใช้กับการเดินเรือไม่ใช่เหรอ แล้วมันเกี่ยวอะไรกับ essay? ผมว่าถ้าคนอ่านไม่เยอะจะสับสนตอนอ่าน และตอนเขียนก็อ่านจะนึกไม่ถึงก็ได้ว่าเราใช้คำนี้ได้เหมือนกัน สรุป อ่านเยอะ ๆ ครับ แก้ไขเมื่อ 06 มิ.ย. 51 20:46:30 จากคุณ : เมื่อลมแรง...ใบไม้ก็ร่วง - [ 6 มิ.ย. 51 20:44:15 ]
