ทั้งหมดจริงแล้วไม่มีความหมายเฉพาะครับ มันเป็นเรื่อง Relative Clause
ซึ่งกรณีจะใช้แทน object
ผมขอเรียกว่า object after preposition
ซึ่งคำเชื่อมก็จะมี
whom - ใช้กับคน
which - ใช้กับสัตว์ สิ่งของ
ตัวอย่าง
[1] This is the cave which there're many bats live in.
-> This is the cave in which there're many bats live.
[2] This is the girl whom we are looking for.
-> This is the girl for whom we are looking.
และก็ไม่ได้มีแค in , for , on เท่านั้น ทั้งนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับ prepositon ของกริยาที่ใช้
