Tom มาป่วยทีหลังค่ะ ป่วยด้วยโรคเอดส์เพราะถ่ายเลือดค่ะ ตอนที่ Tom จะออกจากวงนั่นใครๆก็รู้นะคะว่าคงหมายถึงจุดสิ้นสุดของวงดนตรีที่กลายเป็นตำนานวงนี้ เพราะปีถัดมา CCR ก็ถึงจุดสิ้นสุดจริงๆค่ะ คือหลักๆของวงมี 4 คนคือ John fogerty, Tom Fogerty, Stu Cook, Doug Clifford พอหายไปคน วงก็ล้มค่ะ อีกอย่างอาจเป็นเพราะถึงจุดสูงสุดแล้วก็ได้นะคะ
เหตุที่ CCR ประทับใจคนอเมริกันไม่รู้ลืมก็เพราะเพลงทุกเพลงของเขาสะท้อนภาพชีวิตของคนอเมริกันได้อย่างถึงแก่นค่ะ ภาษาที่ใช้ก็เป็นภาษาง่ายๆที่คนธรรมดาใช้ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งคนตามชนบทนะคะ อย่างเพลง Cotton Field

แทบทุกเพลงของ CCR สะท้อนภาพชีวิตของคนในระดับล่างของสังคมเป็นส่วนใหญ่ และคนฟังก็เข้าถึงได้ค่ะ เป็นคล้ายๆ ballad ค่ะ ประกอบกับเสียงร้องของ John ให้ความรู้สึกในลักษณะนั้นด้วยค่ะ
