The economic structure of Thailand is mainly based on the agricultural sector. According to statistics, most Thai people, approximately 60%, work in agriculture including a farmer, a fisher, and a planter. For example, in the Northern region, fruit-growing is one of major occupations. Especially, there are several longan farms. In addition, a lot of people raise dairy cow for milk production because their appropriate weather condition. In the southern region, fishing is a major occupation of the South because of the close proximity to the sea on both sides. Fish farming along the seashore, particularly shrimp farming has grown rapidly in recent years and offers good prospects for long-term development. And in the eastern Thailand region, most people are fruit-planter. Especially it is very famous for durians and mangosteen. And for the central part of Thailand, the majorities are rice farmer and vegetable planter. All in all, the biggest industries in Thailand is agriculture, therefore, there are a large number of people working in agriculture in the farm.
