Some people believe that air travel should be restricted because it causes serious pollution and uses up the world's fuel resources. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Recently, air travel has been widely popular because of many advantages from it. However, some people have an opposing opinion that it should be banned due to it is resulting in higher level of air pollution.
It is certainly true that this kind of transportation is a major cause of air pollution. This is because every airplane would emit the large amount of harmful gas that is very dangerous to our environment. To illustrate this, the great deal of carbon dioxide from its exhausting can damage to ozone layer. As a result, the sunlight cannot be absorbed by ozone and that gas would trap heat from the sun, so the worlds temperature will be increased significantly. Consequently, many serious troubles will be occurred, such as flooding and starving.
On the other hand, there are many important benefits from air travel. First and foremost, it is a very convenient way to travel to anywhere in the world. For example, in the past, people must take many days to visit other countries by car or ship, whereas today, by this method, people can travel to another side of the world in a few hours with less cost. What is more, a lot of researchers statistically prove that travelling by airplane is the safest way with the lowest number of accidents. Therefore, more and more people prefer traveling by this vehicle because of many advantages.
From my point of view, I totally believe that air travel can be much beneficial to human being, although it can bring some drawbacks regarding environmental issues. However, there are some solutions to solve those problems, such as using alternative sources of energy instead of the ordinary fuels.
