I had a total of 4 pages in my acknowledgement section.
As far as I know; there is no rule indicating "one page only", in my university. This should be applied to the majority of universities in Thailand, however, some universities often regulate avoid more than one page of acknowledgment. If so, in case it is necessary, this rule is negotiable.
The purpose of this section is to acknowledge and thank to those who contributed to your work. It is important to make sure that everyone who significantly helped, guided, or assisted you in any parts of your thesis is being recognized and acknowledged. It is also a good practice for all researchers.
The pattern or written style is not as important as using the appropriate words. As long as you put words together nicely, it is OK.
However; if it is for journal publication, there is a limited space for acknowledgment.
Anyway, I assumed that your thesis is written in Thai. Thus, your supervisor may help you answering your question concerning the use of another language this part. Normally, I have found names written in English for foreigners who were mentioned in the acknowledgment page. Yet the other parts were written in Thai.
In my opinion; if your foreign friends cannot read your thesis, I dont see the point of writing acknowledgement page in English. In Western culture, sending a card expressing your gratitude toward someone who helped you is more practical.
All the best,
Andreas
