ขอคำเเนะนำ การใช้ intelligent, intelligentce

ผมไปอ่านบทความเเล้วเจอว่าเค้าใช้...an intelligence test ทำไมไม่ใช้ intelligent adj....ครับ..

พอเปิด Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary
intelligence   noun ( ABILITY )
[U]  the ability to learn, understand and make judgments or have opinions that are based on reason

เลยพอจะเข้าใจการใช้คำนี้..
เเต่ไม่เข้าใจเเจ่มๆ..ว่าตกลง..ศัพย์ที่เป็น N. ตัวอื่นๆก็มีการใช้เฉพาะ..ที่ไม่เหมือนกันมใช่ไหมครับ..เช่น  resident n.adj  resedence n.
