Could any IE buff figure this out for me?

I'm sure that I'm not posting my thread in the wrong forum. Because some computer buff made my day here once.

I used to use both IE and Firefox for my internet browser but now, my trouble is IE browser can't be displayed while Firefox can. Can anyone suggest me that how to get it done? Normally, Firefox is set as my default browser but it really is needed to utilize something from IE that Firefox doesn't support this device.

It must have been set to proxy server. If it was then untick that option. (see picture)

Tools-->Internet Options-->Connections--->Lan settings: either tick on Automatically detect settings or none at all anywhere.

See how it goes. If it does not work we'll try something else.

Anyway, IE sucks big time.

If you use home machine, don't use proxy server like Khun Genf said but if you use office machine you need to set up proxy server.

It is easy to solve the problem if you look at Firefox and see how the network connection is set up. Do the same for IE.

I once used to post my thread in the software forum but no one could solve my problem. That's because of my problem was not in the area they are familiar with. So, here in this forum I know fore sure that there must be some talented persons who have broad knowledge in many area like you Pi genf.

I myself solved my problem last night, I just tried to reinstall IE over and over and have my anti virus software updated. I really thank you for your help. The idea of trading my Live messenger is fabulous for me so as to improve and brush up my English skills with such a English buff like you .

I mailed you my Live messenger on Lung Mic. I am often online at workhours and at 7 pm. See you there Pi genf.
