"I have not a car" หรือ "I have no car" หรือ "I don't have a car"
ที่ถูกต้องแน่ๆก็คือ
I have no car.
I don't have a car.
ภาษาพูดคนอังกฤษแบบชาวบ้านๆ ส่วนใหญ่จะพูดว่า
I haven't got a car.
แต่
I have not a car. เป็นภาษาอังกฤษแบบเป็นทางการที่ถูกต้อง คือจริงๆแล้วมันเป็นภาษาค่อนข้างโบราณ ซึ่งสม้ัยนี้ไม่ค่อยจะได้ยินใครพูดกัน แต่ก็ไม่ใช่จะไม่มีใครพูดกันเลยนะ
เราเข้า google แล้วลอง search ด้วย keywords นี้คือ
"I have not a"
ก็เจอมีคนใช้่กันบานเบอะเลยคือ (แปะให้ดูสั้นๆ บางตัวอย่างไม่ใส่ punctuation ให้ เต็มๆ เพราะคัดมาแค่บางส่วนนะ ต้องเข้าไปลอง search แล้วดูประโยคเต็มๆเอาเอง)
ตัวอย่างที่ได้มาก็คือ
I have not a word to say
I have not a problem with that
I have not a clue where to start
i have not a hint of racism in me
Also I have not a single other user report about this happening.
So I have not a clue to what 'Invstmnt' is referring to by this comment, except what he reads between the lines.
