Don't worry. You're probably doing far better than me. In 1967, I went to study in the UK. After living there for 6 years, I couldn't even pass any listening comprehension tests, no matter what exams I took.
I remained in the UK until 1987, and in that same year I took the University of Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) exam. As for the listening comprehension test, I had to listen to a long conversation, which sounded almost like a play, with the questions and answer sheet face down and my pen lying inactive on the table according to the exam's rules--in this situation, note taking was utterly impossible. When the play was over, I looked at the questions and exclaimed "Sod you! Why the hell don't you ask me what I've just tried to remember?"
