อันแรกนะคะ

"Losing weight the happy way"

I am 28 years old and I live in Bangkok, Thailand. Until recently I found it really difficult to control my weight. I have been fat since I was a kid. Over the years I tried many methods, but nothing worked. I tried slimming pills, starving, even massage. The more I tried to lose weight, the more discouraged I became. At one point I weighed 136 kilos. Which is unhealthy and not the way I wanted to look. I decided something needed to be done and started my life changing weight loss journey.

Currently I weigh 80 kilos. So I lost 50 kilos already. Why did I succeed this time? Well, many people try to lose weight and end up being unhappy. They deny themselves all the pleasures of life and get really discouraged. I try to enjoy my journey. I think I found a middle way of dieting and exercising which keeps me happy and delivers results at the same time.

Self Motivation keeps my spirit positive. I still eat what I like, but I control the portions and the calories. I can still party. A healthy body should go hand in hand with a healthy mind. So I never exercise because I consider it to be my duty. I want to have fun. Music plays a big role in enjoying what I do. I’ve build my own disco routine. Time flies when you’re having fun.

Lately I ran into some trouble. After doing the same thing for quite sometime, I got bored with it. The same routine of going the gym and exercise didn’t inspire me anymore. At the same time the holiday season made it hard to stick to my diet. I felt like I may not reach my dream of being healthy and pretty after all.

And then boxing came into my life. I tried it once with my personal trainer and it was a lot of fun. It tired me and helped me to release stress. When I drove home one day and saw Master Toddy’s Gym sign I decided to take up Thai boxing seriously. I stepped into the ring and found a new resource of inspiration. Master Toddy has a unique way of training. He knows how to motivate me. He taught me fighting spirit. Nothing is too hard if you believe in yourself!

Boxing is not only about self defense and beating your opponent. It’s a great work out for your body and mind too. It just feels right.
