Actually, nobody is sure what 'dirty bit' means in the song "The time (Dirty Bit)" by Black Eyed Peas. I've found another meaning:

READ THIS FIRST: Before Windows writes data to a disk, it sets the "dirty bit". After the data is written to the disk, the "dirty bit" should be cleared. The purpose of the "dirty bit" is to provide a method for the OS to determine if there where pending writes to a disk that may not have completed, for reasons such as a system crash or loss of power, and the file system may have errors as a result.
With THAT being said, when they (BEP) say "dirty bit" it's when they break free from the original song and start a new beat (new data) .. Giving the song a Black Eyed Peas sound. So "dirty bit" is referring to "pending writes to a disk that may not have completed" and since "Time of My Life" was cut short, what better phrase to use than "Dirty Bit" in an almost robotic voice ....
"Dirty Bit" is Geek Squad lingo...so to speak! ;op I hope this clears things up for ya'll!
