Nowadays, many people are likely to have vision problem. It is consistent with the increasing of computer used especially in education age.There are many visual problems, which mostly occur for example; the nearsightedness (myopia) is one of the commonest symptoms, which the people in this problem are blurry with any objects in long distance but see clearly in short distance. In simply that people in this symptom has problem with long distance vision. ; the farsightedness (Hyperopia) is opposite to myopia which are clearly in long distance but blurry in closer distance. ; the astigmatism is a vision condition that causes blurred vision which not depending on distance of object and frequently occurs with other vision problems like nearsightedness and farsightedness.
In the past, have been using the spectacles to solve vision problems. The spectacles are highly safety, popular and widely used. In the other hands, it has some limitations such as inconvenience in sports or a personality problem in some occupations. Later, contact lens has been developed as to be an alternative. However, there are some issues about the cleanliness. If it is not good enough, it can cause serious infections and may lead to the blindness. In addition to, there are people who cannot use contact lens due to the contact lens or lens cleaner allergy, and for those who have astigmatism condition using of contact lenses cannot probably fix all of the problems.
In currently, it has a surgery by using the excimer laser that called LASIK (Laser In-Situ Keratomileusis) for permanently treatment for vision problems. This method helps reducing the problems arising from using the spectacles or contact lens. Nevertheless, it still not popular because the cost of the treatment is relatively high and there are few specialist physicians.
