I'm not sure. I think "be used to" can be used to tell others that you are familiar with some activities while "used to" is used to express that you always did something in the past.
I used to see some murder scenes in horror movies when I was a child, so I am used to operating on some patients while working as a doctor now.
"Used to" must be followed by infinitive without to while "be used to" must be followed by gerunds.
