ความคิดเห็นที่ 2 In CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) exam (held by University of Cambridge), candidates are required to restate sentences differently on the condition that the new sentences convey the same meanings as the original ones. If you study CPE exam preparation textbooks, you should be able to acquire these skills up to a certain level. After passing the CPE exam, I earned my living from translation of official Thai texts into English. In my work, I noticed that the Thai sentence structure and word order exerted tremendous influence on my English translation that it became almost unreadable! I had to apply the CPE skills in variation of sentence patterns to my Thai-English translation over the past 15 years. Final accomplishments: Six months ago, a Thai student who studied in a British university copied and pasted texts from many foreign websites and had them incorporated into one large file for her dissertation.  She hired me to restate the entire texts for submission to her university on the condition that she should not be found guilty of plagiarism. ความคิดเห็นที่ 3 Thank you so much both Khun K.Senior and Khun fortuneteller. You are right Khun K.Senior. I got to practice. Unfortunately I have left only one year to complete my thesis. That means I have to do the thesis and practice at the same time. Khun fortuneteller, you spent 15 years to be great in this skill. It might take me longer than that, but I will try my best. What I can do now is getting up early in the morning read the text and article as much as I can.  If I cannot complete my master's degree in time, I will continuous improve myself. Using different sentence structure types or making minor changes here and there doesn't work either. The outcome will still be branded as 'plagiarism'. To help the student who copies and pastes texts from many websites for thesis or dissertation get away with plagiarism, I have to adopt more drastic measures. It requires more advanced skills.  However, learning variation of sentence patterns to improve your writing is a simpler matter. It shouldn't take you too many years. Let me show you a couple of simple variations that you can learn easily: I think of you everyday. --> Not a day goes by without me thinking of you.   A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. --> Since a well-regulated militia is necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. ^ The above variations cannot help you get away with plagiarism.
